Miss Jay es-.. Mr. Dillard Mr. Dillard was born in Sylva, North Carolina. He 'X graduated from Western Carolina College and ma- ' jored in math. His favorite hobby is fishing and he 's an avid sports fan. Miss Jay is a modern math teacher. She is also the Var- sity Cheerleaders sponsor. She is loved by all, her cheerleaders, and the members of the Pep Club, which SHE organized. I Mrs. Clark Mrs. Clark has taught Algebra here at Lindley for two years. She is one of the students favorite teachers, also she is a devoted algebra teacher, and also the wife of a Methodist minister. Mr. Howle Mr. Howle often referred to as the JOLLY GREEN GIANT , is one of the eighth grade math teachers here at Lindley. He has been with us for two years and has seemed to have enjoyed every minute of it. 27

MA TH Mrs. Crawford has been teaching many years, and we at Lindley greatly appreciate her experience, and her two years herc. She has a great knowledge of Modern Mathematics, and with this knowledge she has led her pupils toward a suc- cessful future. faq, ..rp.a Miss McReynolds has contributed greatly to Lindley's Math Depart- ment. Through her efforts she has prepared her students for their fu- ture study of Math. Mr. Brown is kept busy encourag- ing his students to study Math. His students will long remember the knowledge they gained from his efforts. The Math Department of Lindley jr. High is headed by Mrs. Crawford. She does an excellent job teaching Modern Algebra and Modern Math to the ninth and eighth grade. Another one of the students favorites is Miss jay, who is a very pleasant teacher. Miss Jay teaches the 7th, 8th, and 9th grades. Mr. Howle is in his second year at Lindley. Some students say he really knows his numbers. Mr. Howle teaches the 8th grade. Mrs. Clarke is another one of our favorite math teachers. Most of Mrs. Clarke's students appreciate the bulletin board that Mrs. Clarke has decorated in her room. Mrs. Clarke has taught 9th grade algebra at Lindley for two years . Mr. Brown teaches tradi- tional math. Mr. Brown always makes sure of understanding the math he teaches Mr. Brown teaches math to the 8th grade. If you ever walk through the east wing of Lindley jr. High School, be sure you carry your pencil and paper because you might work out a few equations on the way.

MUSIC DEPARTME T in 4 Mr. Braswell Mr. Braswell has been learning and perform- ing music since he was five years old. Besides being an accomplished musician himself, he gives private lessons in voice, piano, and guitar. Affectionately known as MR. B , he is re- spected and liked by nearly all his students, despite his high standards in music. He spends most of his time with his students, whether it's teaching English or Choral or working on the annual staff . A very well ed- ucated man, he takes pride in his beliefs and actions. Mr. B likes music of all types, and is a great perfectionist in English as well as Choral. His many different moods and changing character make him very popular among all of his students He is a man whom all of his students will remember for a long time as a teacher, friend, and advisor.
