I D STRIAL ARTS Mr. Campbell teaches Industrial Arts and is highly respected by his students. In his room, it's not all work and no play, but it is not all play and no work, either. The Industrial Arts Department consists of woodwork- ing, metal shop, and mechanical drawing. The ninth grade is in woodworking, and besides learning to use hand tools, they are learning to use machines safely. They have also learned to refinish furniture and have turned out some beautiful examples of their handiwork. The eighth grade has learned to mold and form metal into objects very skillfully during metal shop. The seventh grade, taking me- chanical drawing, is learning how to use a rule and how to lay out blueprints. This department, under the able leadership of Mr. Campbell and Mr. Dye, teaches the student to use their hands and tools to make beautiful projects and to teach them skills that can be used in everyday life. The use of machines is under the direction of safety rules which are followed by the students. Mr. Dye, Industrial Arts Teacher, has a main goal of teaching the pupils to work individually to obtain his own objective. I-Ie has been very successful in doing this in this area. 1 l s l 1 5 - ,C M, S I ic' 5 s, mm 'illl ' .Q fo, cg,- ,A yi Ll s. , , , I its ..f- ' This class is learn- ing how to work with machinery and how to work together in the right manner.
