GUIDA CE DEPARTMENT Eighth grade and ninth grade counseling is the re- sponsibility of Mrs. Tillet. Mrs. Tillet devotes much of her time and energy to guiding and instructing the eighth and ninth grades to a better education. Coming from grammar school to junior high creates many problems for Lindley's seventh grade students. Miss Anderson handles all of the tedious problems of these students. She is understanding and helpful to those students. LIBRARY The guidance department has been in full swing this year. It helped many new and confused students to find their classes and to get adjusted to the school. The guidance department, a very helpful department, tries to situate each student in his class according to his ability. The guidance department aids any student in any problem the student has. This departments gives guidance to the student in trying to find out what classes he wants to take while he is at Lindley or when he leaves to go on to high school. The counselors for Lindley are Mrs. Tillet and Miss An- derson. Mrs. Tillet is the ninth grade and eighth grade counselor. She has been the counselor to Lindley Junior High for two years. Miss Anderson is the seventh grade counselor. She teaches English and helps Mrs. Tillet anytime she is needed. We thank these ladies very much for their expert assistance and guidance. This has been one of the most important departments of the school and its activities for two years. The library is one of the main areas in the student's and teacher's school day. The library offers good books to read for enjoyment and books for reference to help the students in certain fields for reports. The library also has paper-back issues of newspapers and magazines. The library offers a quiet place to study for assignments. Although the library does not have a large number of books, the school is trying to stock it as soon as possible. Mrs. l-Iolifield, the school's librarian and Mrs. Jarrel, her assistant, try to help the student in any way they can. lt is very difficult to keep the library in shape. Mrs. Holifield came to Lindley Junior High this year but Mrs. Jarrell has taught here since the school came into operation two years ago. Mrs. Holifield was the librarian at Pebblebrook before she came to Lindley. Both of these ladies are very capable in this library area. We thank these ladies greatly for the time and effort they put forth for the library.
