BUTLER HALL This year fifty-five new students lived in Butler Hall, which is ad- jacent to Roemer Hall and handy for classes. Physical education courses are followed in Butler gymnasium and swimming poolg college formal dances take place in the gymnasium. This forty-four- year-old dormitory carries on the memory of Colonel James Gay Butler, a generous contributor to Lindenwood in years past. JUDITH ST. Informal mixers are given in the large recreation room, and the busy campus Tea Room is located here. Cobbs is our newest hall, having been com- pleted in 1949 in honor of the late Thomas Harper Cobbs, a member of the Linden- wood Board of Directors from 1917 until his death in 1959.
