Informal mixers are given in the large recreation room, and the busy campus Tea Room is located here. Cobbs is our newest hall, having been com- pleted in 1949 in honor of the late Thomas Harper Cobbs, a member of the Linden- wood Board of Directors from 1917 until his death in 1959. BUTLER HALL This year fifty-five new students lived in Butler Hall, which is ad- jacent to Roemer Hall and handy for classes. Physical education courses are followed in Butler gymnasium and swimming poolg college formal dances take place in the gymnasium. This forty-four- year-old dormitory carries on the memory of Colonel James Gay Butler, a generous contributor to Lindenwood in years past. JUDITH ST.
