' .1-, -I8 ' Becomin Creative Each Lindenwood girl is creative when she does something new-something which is new to her, even though not new in the world. Through the pursuit of truth and beauty she erects a sculpture of Her Life. The qualities of this life, observable from the outside, are dignity, trust, loyalty, friendliness, and productivity. Inwardly she may experience, in the process of creation, a variety of joys such as love, elation, or conquered fear. The administration and faculty, through guidance and instruction, inspire creative thinking, which in turn requires discipline. Such personal discipline by the student eventually brings about aesthetic satisfaction. Students' intellectual and inventive forces are coordinated through organi- zations, which also build a sense of responsibility. The personal creation of charm is recognized in Lindenwood,s queens and courts. The central purpose of the Lindenwood girl is the growth of genuine char- acter through both active and potential creativity. The scul ture of Her . . P Life begins to take form at college. And in hers generation she will continue to be both a creator and the creation. wigs,-rwq,-... . . ... , . H X ing, I 5. 4 Q l 5 i I N 5 li l i ?1 1 Wi w if ve
