There is a Certain Comparison Llndenwood Student and in a Symphony. We ind in our classes and our instructors, the intellectual stimulation necessary to start us ojf on our ways of thinking. They help us determine our thought direction or the HTheme.H We can follow this throughout our college years and after for the rest of our lives, or we can supplement and vary this to produce themes of our own making. This is our choice. Through organizations and activities, we develop that which we have received in our classes. Sometimes the tone may be light and gay, while other times it may be heavier and more serious. It is through these activities that we jind how many aspects of our lives are really affected by the theme that has been accepted by us in the beginning. The pomp and splendor of a processional, the intricate, smooth, flowing, intellectual passage, the light, carefree, laughing songs, the full swelling majesty of a hymn, beautiful in themselves, are more beautiful when blended together by the desire to learn.
