I I' Linden-McK1nley's third year in the District Tournament brought the best results possible. McKinley won the District Class A Championship. This they did after defeating Delaware-Willis L to 2, Grandview 10 to L, and Aquinas in a close one 7 to 6. In the championship game, the team had an on day and trounced Upper Arlington 9 to 1 for the District Class A title. McK1nley's game in the State Tournament was lost to Dayton-Fairmont by a score of 5 to 2. Dayton went on to the finals and was beaten by Cincinatti. WDII 1118 for all In the City-League, McKinley had a 6 won and 5 lost record. For all games they 10 and lost 7. High spot of the season was Perry Rea1l's B0 hitter against Aquinas. The lead- hitters were Jim Shumaker in the City-League, with .3b6 and Buddy Brockman with .316 all games. Perry Reall, Jim Shumaker, and Paul Rossi were honored with positions on the Dispater city team.
