CI DERELL L-K B TEAM It began at 9 a.m. August 10 in L-K. It ended at 6:25 p.m. November 14 in Denton. What? Only the most impressive volleyball season in the history of L-K girls' athletics. Twelve young ladies saw an elusive dream become reality. Marching through district play with one blemish mark, the Lady Tigers were forced into a first round play-off with Paul Pewitt. With 11-2 deficit in the first game, the hustling L-K girls regained the lead with a 17-15 comeback win. In a repeat performance the varsity team were again down 8-2, but snared the first half winner honors with a 15-1 1 edge. The district champion would have been decided in the Saturday district tournament at Paul Pewitt. It wasn't. Hooks seemingly was unimpressed with the awesome Lady Tigers and slapped the shocked L-K team with a disturbing loss. Preparation began once again for the eventual tournament winner Paul Pewitt to decide the 14-AAA district champion. Same song second verse. Greedily the L-K girls grabbed the district championship with 15-11 15-9 scores. In bi-district action, Clarksville felt the burning edge othe Lady Tigers' play-off desires with 12- 15,15-6, 15-12 games.
