Officer: Rodney Burrow - Treasurer: ttop sittingj Kelly Evans - Reporter: Tammy Hill - S eeretary: Todd Hagler - President. ln the school year of l98l-82, there were l05 students enrolled in the Linden-Kildare High School FFA Chapter. Twelve of these 105 students were in the AG-Co-op program and receiv- ed valuable working experience. Much time was spent preparing the students for the roll in life on their own. Much of this experience can be learned only in Ag. The Chapter participated in a variety of dif- ferent contests this year, and the teachers attended many conferences to help assist the students in their program of activities. Ofthe 25 different annual activities for the students, the most talked about were the Cass County Calf Show, the Fruit Sales, and the Parent-Student Banquet sponsored by the Fruit Sale. The annual dog vaccina- tion clinic was ,another activity- that was held to help the public. Every year the students elect a sweetheart which represents them in many beauty pageants and meetings. Becky Allen was this year's choice for sweetheart. John Derrick was elected the Area Vl Vice-President, as well as winning the State Agribusiness Award. The new cha ter officers were elected by the retiring officers before school started in order to prepare for the first meeting. One of the first activities of the year was the lce Cream Supper and Ah I Parents' Orientation Night. There was also a Hamburger Supper held near the middle of the school year. Near the end of the year the climaxing Parent-Student Banquet was held, and the Greenhand of- ficers got a chance to show their capability. This year's Leadership Teams did well as the Chapter Skill Team rose all the way to State where they placed 4th out of 932 chapters. 22 students were livestock exhibitors in the county7s calf shows, such as the Cass County and Simms Shows. Two students exhibited broilers in the Houston Fat Stock Show, and one showed a beef heifer as well. As you can well see the Linden-Kildare FFA Chapter is one of the school's busiest organizations.
