Davis make a Brahma runner pay the price after a gain of less than a yard. - HUGHES SPRINGS - Before a record Homecoming crowd of 3500 people the Tigers challenged the undefeated Mustangs for the dis- trict lead. Like lightning, the Tigers struck on only the second play from scrimmage with a 49-yard t.d. strike from B. Vise to C. Gardner. From there they coasted on to a convinc- ing 21-6 win. B. - DEKALB - The Tigers got off to a roaring start in district play by demolishing the defending champion Bears. After a sluggish first half L-K racked up three touchdowns enroute to their first victory over Dekalb in four years. As Season Wears On. 'ny. 'i!fn.Q1' 1 Tiger defense showsjubilation after halting Hughes Springs inches short of a crucial first down. fi 4,14 If D. .Iiles eyes his prey while shaking off a would-be blocker. - PITTSBURG a L-K went into the game knowing it would be a tough one, and indeed it was. Going into the dressing room at the half down I6-7, things looked pretty bleak. But the Tigers came out the 3rd quarter a different team and ended up taking home a sweet 21-16 victory. E.
