The teachers follow a plan of putting em- phasis on word study, literature, library I skills, location, comprehension, organiza-. tion, interpretation, and other skills which have been found, through experience, to be beneficial for slow learners. Efforts are also being made to teach skills in pronunciation, word building , word origin, noting significant details, predicting outcomes, summarizing, and skimming.
