DEDICATION Mrs Floyd Gamber The students of L1nden Hlgh School 1n 1951 are DI'0Ud to dedlcate th1s annual 1n honor of Mrs Floyd Gamber Luclle Gamber was born February 21 1894 to Mr and M s M1llard Felch 1n Carson C1ty M1ch1gan She attended grade and h1gh school in Carson C1ty and for two years attended College 1n Yps1lant1 M1ch1gan from where she rece1ved her l1fe cer t1f1cate IH 1915 Llnden H1gh School h1red Mrs Gamber to teach the f1rst and second grades and to coach the g1rl s basket ball team She has taught at L1nden for a total of e1ghteen and one half years IH 1930 she taught at a Fl1nt school and 1n 1943 at S1lver Lake School At present her homeroom 1S the f1fth grade room here 1n Llnden Mrs Gamber has l1ved here s1nce 1915 except for a short 1917 They have one daughter Garda who l1ves 1D L1nden w1th her parents When Mrs Gamber frrst came here she taught 1n the old bu11d1ng wh1ch had three rooms two class rooms and one as sembly room At that t1me there were seven on the teach1ng staff wh1ch has now 1ncreased to twenty one There were no buses and the only out of town students came 1n from the Burt d1StT1Ct Some of the thlngs that Mrs Gamber remembers about the old bu11d1ng are the old pump 1n front of the school the two w1nd1ng sta1r cases and the small play ground w1th teeter boards In add1t1on to teach1ng Mrs Gamber has been 8Ct1V6 1n the Eastern Star She was Worthy Matron at one t1me and has been treasurer of that organ1zat1on for the last twelve years The Linden Research Club has also Clalmed her serv1ces It IS with great pr1de the students of Llnden School de dlcate the Annual to a h1ghly respected teacher and member of the Communlty 4 ' , . r . time spent in California.
