Theme: PEANUT! Cynosure chooses the characters from the comic strip Peanuts, by Charles M. Schulz, as its theme for 1965. In this popular cartoon are to be found representatives of all types of people. As you look through the Cynosure, try to recognize whom the Peanuts people may represent. Mr. Schulz makes a point of mentioning the fact that his creations are remarkable in their resemblance to real peo- ple. Who knows, you may even recognize yourself in one of our people. by Charles M. Schulz To Mr. Schulz we owe a great debt for his having given Cynosure permission to use the Pea- nuts idea. The characters, of course, are the creations of 'Mr. Schulz alone. Our staff artists, Cathleen Cupec and Kathryn Guest, have worked hard to doiustice to Mr. Schulz' work. Our thanks to him can be only in the form of a yearbook well- organized about its theme, Peanuts, David Piacente, Editor THE CHARACTERS ff?- f' X lf' 361 y A 3 fix 59:1 xg is ' V 'li S fifg -R K I Nile' qt ' '53 .. -.
