Excitement filled the air as Miss Rita Hinds was crowned 1970-71 Homecoming Queen by Cindy Short, last year's queen. Peggy Grimes was runner-up in the 1970-71 Homecoming Queen contest. The two candidates were selected by a vote of the Senior class. Following the crowning ceremony, 28 Queen Rita and escort Rick Jorgensen joined those present for an evening of dancing.

Librarians Arranging, checking out, and accepting pennies for overdue books are among the duties performed by librarians (left to right) Debbie Kerfoot, Wilson Gwin, Terry Davis, and Lewis Barclay (not pic- tured). The staff of The Bulldog , Linden's monthly school newspaper, worked diligently throughout the year to maintain accurate coverage of school events for its many readers. Judging Team Each year during the months of February, March, and April, several boys from our school are busy preparing for the crop, dairy, and livestock judging contests. With individuals such as Mike Klinker, Daryl Warren, Jack Price, Dave Birge, John Smith, Victor Rivers, Keith Winger, Clay Cunningham, Jim Bartlett, Neil Barclay, and Mr. Thompson, Linden is assured of a well-qualified team to represent the school in all of its judging contests.
