Excitement filled the air as Miss Rita Hinds was crowned 1970-71 Homecoming Queen by Cindy Short, last year's queen. Peggy Grimes was runner-up in the 1970-71 Homecoming Queen contest. The two candidates were selected by a vote of the Senior class. Following the crowning ceremony, 28 Queen Rita and escort Rick Jorgensen joined those present for an evening of dancing.
