The main purposes of the Future Homemakers of America are: to promote a growing appreciation of the joys and satisfactions of home-making, to encourage democracy in home and community life, and to further interest in home economics. To attain these goals and purposes and to become a national F.H. A. honor chapter, we carried out many indi- vidual and group activities. To achieve the goal of en- couraging democracy in home and community life, we gave speeches, wore vote buttons, and volunteered to babysit for parents while they voted. The highlight of the year and our most important social function, our annual F.H. A. Christmas Ball, was postponed on account of snow.
