In March, we all looked forward to Spring and our Easter Vacation. May found us practicing even harder lor May Day. XVe also began to get ready lor finals. the .Senior Prom, and CIommencemenl. Betty Baum 'llle twentyvlourth dawned, the day of the prom, and we had the time of our lives. It was May Day, too, and it was then that we realized the end of our Junior year was in sight. Good- byes were in order on June ninth. Clilm Billings XVith mixed emotions we took our leave- happy because ol' the anticipated vacation, but a bit sad about leaving the people who had become so important to us during these few short months. l'llYl.I.IS 0GII.lVli l!.XRl3.XR.X SCHIFNIAKIER IIE.-KN MILLER President Yice-President Seeretzu y-'I reasurer UNIOR CLASS HI TORY The day ol' September thirteenth dawned bright and warm, as eighteen confused Juniors found their way to Linden Hall. Amid much roise and chaos of unpacking and meeting new friends, we became aware ol' the fact that we were faced with an entire new way ol' life. The helpfulness of our Senior classmates was very much appreciated at such a time. l'Ve were formally welcomed to Linden Hall the next night at a very impressive formal dinner. Excitement, filled the air on October nine- teenth, as we experienced our first long week- end. 'l'his was soon followed by that in the lives of all first-year students, Hell Day. W'e were rudely awakened in the middle of the night. XVho will ever forget trying to drink with an earring hanging in the coffee, or seranading the townspeople with our melodious voices. 'l'he surprise really came when Dr. Horne an- IWCIIIQ 'SCVCII rouneed that morning that we would spend the day at Mount Gretna, where a surprisingly en- joyable time was had, considering the predica- ment. we were in! It wasn't hard to tell a junior from then on, for our dinks arrived, and trtte to tradition, we wore them night and day. Before we realized it, 'I'hanksgiving had come and gone, and December promised to be an eventful month for everyone. December eighth was the night ol our first college formal dance, followed by the Christmas party, and the Vesper Choir service, all ol' which put us into the CllI'lSlIIl2lS mood. On December nineteenth, we stood bag and baggage ready to go home and enjoy the holidays. 'january third drew near, we were all eager to get back into the swing of things again. Exams passed without any casualties. and we
