SENIOR CLASS HISTORY September I-l, IU50, marked our arrival at Linden llall. Although we felt strange at first. we had a large, friendly Senior Class with whom to get acquainted, and it wasn't long before we were like Old 'I'iniers . 'l'he first six weeks were the longest, for we had to stay here, but after we had seen our families on the first long weekend we were ready to settle down to work. XVe didn't settle too quickly. though, because we were inter' ruptcd bv l-lell Dav. lt was after Hell Dav that we realized that the Seniors were not Ogres . 'l'hen the dinks hit us-square on the head, it seemed like they were going to stay there, too. Social life was not forgotten, for we had a dance on the fourth of November and the ninth of December. junior House was quite busy giving teas over the long winter months . Thanksgiving and Christmas vacations passed all too quickly, then came the long-awaited struggle-semester exams. After exams we settled down to studying until Easter vacation. Then we practiced for May Day and bathed in the sun with great exfpecta- tions for acquiring a golden tan. Saying Goodbye on june eleventh was harder than we had expected. We not only hated to see the Seniors go, but we realized we would be losing some of our own classmates. lWCl'lly-One ln fact. we missed each other so much that when September rolled around most of us cattle back a day early to greet a wonderful class of luniors. XVe got a kick out of helping the -Iuniors orient themselves-remembering that a short year before we had been in their boots. Hell Day and our trip to Mount Gretna fell on the same day, but no one missed any fun. 'l'he crazy get-ups on the juniors made us all forget that the rain was pouring down around us. Old Man Rain spoiled a hayride too, but on December 8, the Senior Class of the Academy joined the junior College in sponsoring the Christmas Dance. Santa Claus bestowed a diamond to three of our lucky classmates, and we returned with new vigor to face 1952. To recuip-erate from semester exams, a dance was held at Wiggins, but Easter was just around the corner and we could feel spring reaching out and touching us with that old fever. May Day, Senior Week, and the Prom passed in quick succession, and we found ourselves in cap and gown on june 9. XVe had all been waiting for this day, one which summarized two well-spent years-years that had furnished the cornerstone for all our futures.
