Ljze eagle S7AlfC5 Jiencler, an xecufive, ca an o C'74VCll 6l'I255 - our rinczful r. arrty iyafes Upon the principals leadership, extensive range and calibre ot interests depends so much ot the value ot his school to community and country, and even its contribution to the peace and progress ot a small world today. Where there is no vision, as we have otten heard, the people perish. A great American high school is like a town, the principal as mayor must keep it shining, consistently efficient in achievement ot goals, dauntlessly aware ot its responsibilities. We salute Mr. Yates tor his awareness of Lindblom's place in today's concept oi schools and societyg tor his iine administrative and organ- izing abilityg and, as a leader, tor his combined vision and common sense. In his own lite ot strenuous endeavor, aided by a highly gifted, enthusiastic faculty, he has striven to make his boys and girls leaders in scholarship, athletics, extra-curricular activities, and in recognition of the common brother- hood oi man. Here in the pile ot brick and stones called Lindblom, with an established heritage and wealth ot tradition, the principal guides us all. ln this we may say: He builded better than he knew: The conscious stone to beauty grew. if-ff , ,xx li - f iii? sa-nf V- J Q, ul' 9 Sq 1... -N -aim'
