Imcfory cymdols in Pprova The shields in Keeler Hall inspire a glow of school pride in all Lindblomites, but to the twenty seniors of the Boys' Council these shields mean even more. They represent not only the efforts of many of the councilors and other students in winning championships for Lindblom, but also the Council's trusteeship of the shields. The boys were responsible for removing and replacing them when the school was decorated this year. This, and many other obligations, such as mimeographing and coat checking at special school functions, constitute a vital service to Lindblom. The Council sets its membership standards high. Chosen by his fellow students and teachers, each boy must have an excellent scholastic record and fine character. He must also maintain this record throughout his period of membership in the group. To run this organization efficiently, the Council with Mr. Boucher, its sponsor, holds meetings every Monday, at which time they discuss Council projects and school conditions. For these meetings and for special occasions, the Councilors, in addition to white shirts and ties, wear the traditional maroon and gold arm patches. Membership in such an organization brings prestige, and is the goal of most eligible boys at Lindblom. Learning to take on responsibility and show initiative are important benefits derived from belonging to this group. So, hats off to the Senior Boys' Council for their splendid spirit of service.
