History and Language. .. Iflhhcfo W5 on the World ABOVE FOCUS ON HISTORY . . . Movies that teach supply necessary information and add pleasure to class sessions as is evident in this photograph of S. history group. Reading and discussion are important in the study ot history, but modern inventions like the camera and television reveal a three dimensional View ot history that is unique. On the spot recording ot the historical panorama helps students keep pace with the epoch-making events ot the moment and develops an awareness ot the role of both stability and change in the growth ot nations. Familiarity with a foreign language opens the door to new interests and achievements. Learning Spanish, French, or Latin promotes good fellowship with people ot other countries and acguaints one with the culture and customs prevailing in various parts ot the world. To be able to speak or read in a toreign tongue is a very rewarding personal experience, as any language learner knows.
