me icafion CARRIE LOUISE GEORGE The Eagle has long been synonymous with the career of one of Lindblom's most gracious and benign teachers. It is with sincere affection, therefore, and deep grati-tude that we dedicate this issue of the Eagle to Miss Carrie Louise George, who has been the sponsor of this publication since 1928. Her enthusi- asm, intellectual acumen, and literary zeal have been a source of inspiration to all who have helped shape the destiny of the Eagle through the years. Under her guidance it has served as a worthy tribute to Lindblom's progress in the development of good citizens and community leaders. Now, we proudly pause to offer our appreciative recognition of a dis- tinguished record of service devoted to the young people of Lindblom whom she leaves enriched with endearing mementos of classroom fun and lore and the joyful achievement of a perennial literary goal.
