U E, M U fl N V- ak ve SENIOR BALL We began decoraung two A big silver trumpet was weeks m gdvance made to carry out our theme Blues In The Nrght Centers of rnterest were silver notes agamst a back ground of blue utr-ding, The Seven plece E w C E The b1g nxght November band prov1ded the music Slxlh SENIOR TOUR We are sorry but due to cucumstances beyond our control fwe forgot to take a cameraj we were unable to take a srngle prcture of th1s most memorable occaslon We 18 of usj left L1nd at approxrmately 4 45 the morn1ng of Frrday May 13 W left not by way of a bus and the Rrtzvrlle Htghway but by way of Ira s car and the Expenment Statron road thus completely elud1ng the Juruors and thetr S1gl'lS We met the rest of the class and Mr Taylor 1n Rttzvrlle and left for Spokane 1n the bus from there Upon amvmg IU Spokane we dec1ded fafter much brckeungy to eat breakfast at the Desert Hotel After an emoyable meal we boarded the bus agarn and headed for Dramond Lake fby way of Whrtworth College naturally s1nce Mr Taylor was our bus dnverj Arr1v1ng at the lake we stepped from the bus rann to get out on the lake to be met by COLD gusty wmds comlng from an extremely rough look1ng lake Dash mg back 1ns1de the bus we put on any extra coats we d brought and gettmg up our courage went back out rn the cold and played a game of Softball Thrs contlnued un ul Vance smashed our softball 1nto smrthereens Then someone suggested Kxck the Can Th1s drdn t go over so well as It took qu1te a wlule to f1nd a couple of the mem bers of the class Slowly everyone drlfted back 1nto the bus and we tr1ed to declde whether we should eat the lunch we d brought flt was only 10 301 at the lake at a roads1de park on the way back to Spokane or wart unt1l we got back to Spokane and eat II at Nat Park We dec1ded on none of these suggestrons but ate rt 1n the bus on the way back to Spokane Back 1n Spokane we dec1ded to go see a show and mrraculously everyone agreed on The Prod1gal After the show was over we had about an hour to spend before lt was t1me to meet Mr Taylor and the bus So several of the class went and bought crazy lookmg hats to wear The rest of the t1me we spent lo1ter1ng about the streets and attractmg attentlon fask Ira about thtsj Then at about 4 o clock we got back on the bus and went out to Nat Park As we practrcally had the place to ourselves we could r1de on anytlung we wanted to We made the rounds of all the concesslons and as some of us were looklng a lrttle green we headed back to Spokane where we ate d1nner Qat the Shack th1s tlmej After drnner we dec1ded to go out 1n the valley and go roller skaung to ftmsh out our day After a couple of hours of fun dolng thas we left Spokane and headed back to Lrnd to be back by 1 A M For some strange reason by the t1me we got to Rltzvllle the bus had a heavy layer of potato clups prckles olrves wreners buns and pteces of our softball covermg the seats and the floor We separated there and managed to get back to Lxnd Just at 1 o clock after en1oy1ng a wonderful day 1 , .
