Band Goes to Coney Island Before going on a trip, the band spends many hours practicing. Mr. Mowery is always looking for new members. Coney Island is a very beautiful place. The majorettes always perform with the band. Mrs. Mowery enjoys Coney Island also. The band bus trips are always a lot of fun. 21

Choir Does Outstanding Job The Mixed Choir presenting the sacred section of the Spring Sing Concert . The Lincolnview A Cappella Choir, under the direction of Mr. John Cangelosi, was very successful in their attempts this year. The choir had its annual Christmas Concert and Spring Sing Concert. A few of the songs sung during the Christmas Concert were Alleluia , Lamb of God , and A Time For Us . During the Spring Sing Concert songs such as Oh Sacred and Holy Feast , Impossible Dream , and the choir ' s traditional benediction The Lord Bless and Keep You were sung. For the first time in many years the Lincolnview High School Choir went to the OMEA contest at Delphos St. John ' s. They received an average rating. The senior choir members had their final performance at Baccalaureate. The seniors singing with the choir for the last time at Baccalaureate. 20

Taylor, B. Etzler, K. Gorman, J. Edwards, K. Neer, J. Stahl, L. Lloyd, J. Arn, T. Tomlinson, T. Scott, D. Long, R. Burton, G. Davis. Row 4: A. German, R. Schneider, M. McCracken, D. Osting, D. Evans, L. Rauch. Row 5: G. Spridgeon, R. Rhoades, P. Scott, S. DuVall, T. Zuercher. The Lincolnview High School Band was very active under the direction of Mr. Ward Mowery this year. The band was not only able to display their fine marching and playing ability but also the Pep Band and the Stage Band were very active. The Pep Band presented a floor show at the home basketball games for the first time, while the Stage Band played at the band parent organization ' s Vaudeville 1970 and the musical, So This Is Paris . The Concert Band participated in the OMEA contest at Delphos St. John ' s and received an excellent rating. They presented various other concerts throughout the year. A few of these were the Autumn, Christmas, and Spring concerts. The Marching Band performed at a number of places during the summer and fall months. They were also one of the bands that participated at Coney Island ' s band festival this spring. The band offi cers for the 1969-70 school year were: Row 1: R. Long, Head Majorette; L. Hux, Vice-President; D. Long, Secretary. Row 2: S. Dunlap, Publicity Chairman; D. Schneider, Secretary; Mr. Mowery, Band Director. Row 3: K. Welker, Librarian; D. Engel, Treasurer; J. Etzler, Librarian. Row 4: R. Pollock, Manager; T. Zuercher, Chaplain; D. Scott, President; K. Faller, Manager.
