LANCER 1965 Published by THE LANCER STAFF LINCOLNVIEW HIGH SCHOOL Route 1 Van Wert, Ohio Foreword Four years ago began a unique experience for the Class of 1965. We entered high school as wide-eyed freshmen, eager to see what the coming years would bring. After completion of four years of high school, we feel a great amount of pride, not only for ourselves but for our school, our teachers, and each other. The Lancer Staff of 1965 has attempted to capture the moments of joy, sorrow, victory, and defeat which have confronted the students of Lincolnview High School. We sincerely hope that in the future this book will bring back happy memories for you. The 1965 Lancer sold approximately 150 copies and will be enjoyed by many times that number of people who are interested in the activities and accomplishments of the students of Lincolnview High School. Contents ORGANIZATIONS ATHLETICS ACTIVITIES ADMINISTRATION FRESHMEN SOPHOMORES JUNIORS SENIORS GRADUATION ADVERTISERS For 36 years Mr. Lowell Shaffer has helped to shape the future goals of many students who have had the opportunity to study under him. The retirement of this devoted teacher has brought him to the end of his teaching career. His last three years were spent at Lincolnview, and the influence he has had upon both faculty and students has left us with a feeling of sorrow that he is leaving. Through Mr. Shaffer ' s ability and talent, he has given us a chance to grow and develop culturally. He has instilled in each student a desire to succeed in the future. Therefore, with deepest respect and sincere appreciation, the students of Lincolnview High School wish to dedicate the 1965 ' Lancer ' to Mr. Lowell Shaffer.
