The local school board is, in effect, the policy-making body of the school. It is their duty to see that state and county requirements are met, and the school curriculum is fitted to the needs of the students. In addition, our present school board was faced with the task of merging three schools (York, Van-Del, Hoaglin-Jacson) into one. The efficient organization of the Lincolnview schools is evidence that the work was competently done. Past officers were Edwin Adam, president, and Richard Welker, vice-president. In his capacity as executive head, Mr. R. O. Sawmiller directs the activities of the five schools comprising the Lincolnview school district.
