CLASS H Yes, itls hard to believe that four vears have elapsed since our first dav at Lincolnton Iligh School. To look at us dignified Seniors one would never have thought us to be the group that four short vears ago had been such traditional green freshman. Although we were new to things, we elected Bill Eaker as our president and managed to bring the vear to a lairlv successful close. As sophomores we were beginning to feel a little more important, especiallv when we picked daisies and carried the chain for our Seniors. It was that vear that David Ruclisill began his role as NIL President. Everv one was then looking forward to the next vear when we at last would be juniors. That was indeed a happv vear with David Rudisill still holding his title. There were so manv activities and good times that we were a perfect lit for our title of jollV juniors. Evervone was overioved when we ordered our rings and thev came in such a short time. Then there was the publishing of our school I, 'Iommv lluss, bequeath mv ahilitv to chew gum in Mrs, Ramsaur's class to anvone who can get bv with it. I, Gerald jackson, herebv will inv ahilitv to get along with Miss Roseman and Miss Nlclsinnev to anvone who can stick it out for lour vears. I, jerrv Leonard, will to mv brother, Charles, mv abilltv to get along with the teachers, I, Doris Ann Lineberger, will mv abilitv to get out of stutlv hall, hx hook or crook. to anvone luckv enough. I, Marv Iillen Rrackett, do herebv will and bequeath mv abilitv to be tvpist for Miss Roseman and Miss Stroupe to mv sister, Leona, hoping she can tvpe faster than I I, Iirank Ilarris, bequeath mv abilitv to condense book length wills to the future Lawvers of L.II.S. Vu.-xxx Ilitiuus, Iawver VVitness: Svhex Ixcarrf Secretarv: Nl.-uiv I-lu 13N Ilnaexirrr ISTUHY paper, The l'l'0If, and the junior Class Plav. Our final act as juniors was the junior-Senior banquet. This was the last time we would be honoring the Seniorsg after that it was time for honors to be heaped upon our heads, And such a glorious last vear it wasl From the verv lirst we were terriblv busv, but no one seemed to mind: instead there seemed to be a spirit of eniovment. After electing Elizabeth Iluggins as our president we chose our PINE Bunn staff and began preparing for our edition of the PINE Iluim. Among our other activities were the fall carnival and the Senior Plav. Then before we knew it we were sending out invitaf tions to our friends to see us in our linal rites at dear old L.II.S. hlost of us who had so eagerlv anticipated this dav were beginning to get a funnv feeling as the davs slipped bv. And now as we approach graduation we can look back and sav that trulv the vears have blessed us. joins: ALLEN, Historian Page Nineteen
