Smith lbetter known to his football squad as lllock l to us from Guilford College, for is he not our biology wizard? He is strict but not too strict, since he has won the respect and admiration of all the boys as well as the young ladies. and we hope L. ll. will be so fortunate as to keep him many years. MISS ANNE GREY In spite of the fact that she has been here only a short while. by her win- ning ways Bliss Grey has acquired many friends. She is accomplished. attrac- tive, and very talented. She is an expert typist. has an unlimited knowledge of bookkeeping and shorthand. and has a thoroughly charming personality. We feel fortunate to have her as our commercial teacher. MISS ELIZABETH HOKE Bliss lIoke. our very capable athletic coach, has been with us but one year. In this time she has won the love and respect of every girl in the athletic associa- tion. She led the girls' basketball team through a most successful season. Her ready wit and overwhelming vitality convince us that Bliss lloke is sure 'nouglif' We will long remember her as a capable teacher, an excellent coach, and a true friend. MR. H. H. MCKEOWN BIr. Blclieown is one of our most highly esteemed teachers. Ile is not so strict as most of the faculty, but preserves order and his classes respect him greatly. llc is the lligh School math teacher. and we hope the incoming Fresh- man class will be fortunate enough to complete their math course under his instruction. MRS. LENA WEST BIrs. XYest is another one of our teachers that we have had for only one year. but we feel that we have had her longer. for she is our friend. XX e all like her and hope she will remain in Lincolnton lsligh School a long, long tune. MISS MAUDE HALL 'llhere is probably no teacher in the entire High School who is as generally liked as Bliss llall. Her sweet disposition and charming personality with a slight sternness, tempered by her fun-loving nature. endears her to all. Lucky will he the man who at last claims her for his wife, but right now we aren't will- ing to let her leave I.incolnton High School. PAGE SEVENTEEN
