One of the largest and most successful departments at Lincoln West is the Business Education Department. Here are a few good reasons why it enjoys this distinction. ••••••• ••• ••••••• ••• ••••••• •••••• ... ... ••••• ••• ••••••• ... ... ••••••• ••••••• ••••••• ;;; ;.. ••••••• ••• ••• ... ••• ••• ••• ••• ••• ••• ••• ••• ••• ••• ••• ... ••• ••• ••• ••••••• ••••••• ••••••• ••••••• ••••••• ••••••• •••••• ••••• ••••• There has been an increase in enrollment in the Vocational programs. Next year there will be two 12th grade Steno Typist classes. The department offers vocational 4 period programs in Steno Typing, Clerk Typing, and Accounting Computing. Single period classes are available in bookkeeping office practice, shorthand, general business, typing, business English, vocational sales, business law. There are work programs in Cooperative Office Education, and Distributive Education for those who qualify. Vocational classes also belong to the OOEA (Ohio Office Education Association) This organization provides contests throughout the city, state, and nation in each area of business education. Last March Lincoln West participated in the Regional Contest held at John Marshall, South and Bedford High Schools. We had several winners. First, second, and thrid place winners went to Columbus to participate in the State Contest. New people to the department this year was Miss Doris Vollmar in Accounting Computing. Business Education looks forward to a busy and productive year in 1976.
