From fhis unique beginning wifh an enrollmenf of 368 sfudenfs and fwenfy-six feachers, our family has grown fo 74I sfudenfs wifh a sfaff of forfy-fwo. Even greafer expansion will confinue in fhe fufure requiring consfanf building and curriculum revisions. Tremendous improvemenfs in building design and feaching fechniques have been developed during fhe pasf few years. The Lincoln-Way Board of Educafion has successfully fried fo lceep abreasf of fhese new frends and provide for fhe necessary equipmenf in order fo rneef fhe educafional requiremenfs of all fhe sfudenfs. Revolufionary feaching aids in fhe modern language laborafory were made available fhrough fhe parfial assisfance of fhe Nafional Defense Educafion Acf. Sfudenfs are now able fo rogress according fo fheir capabilifies and are rewarded according fo fhieir accomplishmenfs. Lincoln-Way has one of fhe Iargesf enrollmenfs in agriculfure of any secondary school in Norfhern Illinois. The former farm shop area was added 'Io fhe Indusfrial Arfs de- parfmenf and enabled a modern course in elecfronics fo be added fo fhe curriculum. Subsfanfial aid was received under fhe Nafional Defense Educafion Acf for fhis equipmenf. along wifh fhe language laborafory and considerable scienfific equipmenf. The original combined music cleparfmenf soon proved foo small fo provide for fhe needs of The inferesfed sfudenfs. The beaufiful addilion now complefely solves fhis problem for many years. Ample space has been planned for bofh indivi- dual insfrucfion along wifh fhe large combined groups. As Lincoln-Way's enrollmenf increased, addifional facilifies were required for fhe physical educafion and afhlefic program. Our new consfrucfion has greafly helped fo provide for fhese needs giving much more flexibilify for all 'rhe boys and girls in school.
