The President of Lincoln University Dr. Earl E. Dawson Miss Maxine Rankin, Secretary to the President, helps to keep the President ' s office running smoothly. The Governor of Missouri Warren E. Hearnes. Missouri ' s [5th governor has risen rapidly in Mis- souri State government. He was elected to the House of Representa- tives from Mississippi County in 1950, the youngest man at the time ever elected state representative from that county. Reelected in L952, V , 1956 and L 958, he was elected majority floor leader in 1957 and 1959. He became the 30th Secretary of State of Missouri January c ), 1961, and was elected Governor of Mis- souri November 3. 1964. The Curators Members of the Board of Curators the decision making body of the University includes, L to R, Earl Wilson, Richmond Heights; Bruce Normile. Edina; George Rozier, Jefferson City; President Dawson; Attorney Carl Sapp, Columbia, new president of the Board. James Randall, St. Louis, vice presi- dent of the Board, Mrs. Olive Decatur. Springfield; and Judge Lewis W. Clymer, Kansas Citv, Not pictured are Dr. R. B. Doolin. Kansas Citv, treasurer, and Hal Hunter, New Madrid.

The Dean of Instruction Dr. Oscar . Chapman is a busy man the year round. He has the tremendous duties of seeing that matters of instruction roll along smoothly, and he coordin- ates instruction efforts by distributing available classroom space in a crowded university. Miss Witherspoon supervises the work of student assistants Sharon Alnutt and Wilma Hous- ton. Miss Lareader Witherspoon is secretary to the Dean of Instruction. She assists the dean in his many tasks by keeping records, giving advice, and referring students to proper departments.
