THE LION Deadlines, pages, copy, cropping — with all this, lots of disagreements. Time was the big- gest problem; there never seemed to be enough. Schedules made, schedules broken, not wanting to do the wrong thing, but not knowing how to do the right. All these prob- lems, and still a book has been produced and believe it or not — it's been WE DID IT!!!!!! EDITOR-IN-CHIEF Ruth Day Hargrove CO-EDITORS Cheryl Anne Ford Sandra L. A SALUTE TO THE ALUMNI tribute to our forefathers. Your presence will linger on. You've made a mark in history, that reflects ye dear ol' song. Alma Mater Dear Lincoln, dear Lincoln. Thy sons will e'er be true. The golden hours we spend beneath The dear old Orange and Blue, Will live for e'er in memory; As guiding stars through life. For thee, our Alama Mater dear; We'll rise in our might For we love every inch of thy sacred soil, Every tree on thy campus green; And for thee with our might we will ever toil. That thou mightest be supreme. We'll raise thy standard to the sky, Midst glory and honor to fly. And constant and true, We will live for thee anew, Our dear old Orange and Blue. Hail! Hail! Lincoln!

. . . From The Editor To the Graduating Class of 1976 Year after year we have traveled old Route One to Lincoln. Our years of traveling to this great institution have come to an end. Now we must search for new routes and if necessary create our own paths. We leave Lincoln with the feeling of holding a partially filled glass of water. It is half way filled, yet it is half empty. With a sigh we pack our bags full of memories and experiences that have taught us so much. Yes, Lincoln is for LEARNERS and I offer my congratulations to the SURVIVORS of 76 , for you have encountered and endured the turbulance of Lincoln's period of transition. Build your souls and attain them, the achievement of success is to be admired. Remember that the family is the key, it is the greatest achieve- ment of all. Therefore, I offer to you that which my parents gave to me, the three greatest states of consciousness man can achieve. PEACE, LOVE, UNITY. Ruth Day Hargrove Editor-in-Chief 9
