DRAMATIC CLUB otherwise known as Phe Tormentors' Club , has had a busy season with the Seniors' presentation of The Importance of Being Earnest , the Gilbert and Sullivan operetta, I0lanthe , and two one-act plays. The large number of apprentices and the enthusiasm that has been shown have made this year very happy and profitable. LlNfiOLN GREEN nas especially rushed last Fall, owing to School's opening a week late: consequently. the Board is particularly' grateful to all who submitted extra material for us to choose from, and to all yyho helped us yyith typing the manuscripts. Our thanks, too, go to our atlyertisers. This year, we hare introduced something new to the magazine. the Birds' Eye Viewer supple- lnent. which we hope will be continued in future years. Then. we made our initial appearance at Open House, in midrfall. Next. rehearsals for our traditional Christmas Vespers terminated in a successful performance. ln the spirit of Christmas, we also participated in a general Carol Sing with Moses Brown, which we all appreciated and enjoyed. The Gilbert and Sullivan operetta, Iolanthe . presented just before Spring vacation in collaboration with Moses Brown, culminates our plans for the year. ORCHESTRAL GROUP, consisting of thirteen members, has H161 once a week in Dwight House for experience in group playing. lVe have also played during Open House to entertain the parents and during chapel periods to show our progress to the student body. CHAPEL COMMITTEE,sit1ce its organization in l9l8, has become increasinvlv important XVe now take charge of three chapels a week. including our Silent Meeting on Friday Miss Cole conducts chapel on Monday, and. on lVednesday, we have tnusic with Mrs. Armin I'he first half of the year, the committee members conducted the services, but since Midyears the progrnns have been assigned to other interested girls. In weekly conferences, we have discussed pl ins and problems pertaining to chapel.
