RPO TIME Wlll TELL Now leaving on Track 52 the Lincoln Unlimited for Hollywood Reno Chicago and Points East drifting into Provtdence for the Tenth Reunion' As Engineer MacDougall who has spent the past three years in Hollywood directing the Latin version of uo Vadts blows the whistle and Conductor Mary Howell now principal of the XVest Coast Lincoln School shouts -Xll aboard' we re off in a flash of gleaming steel Pulling into Hollywood we notice a traffic Jam on the corner of Holly wood and Vme Upon closer observation the cause of the tie up proves to be none other than the noted TV comedienne Judy Abel executing the Charleston with her chauffeur When the clamor subsides we proceed on our trtp to Reno Ronme VVe1gner smothered in mink ascends the tram steps leaving her fifth bevttldered ex husband All Khan waving meekly on the station platform Is it a plane' No it s Marilyn Greene vtorld famous sktchampxon who has come to Join us Maneuy ertng our tram through the snow drift caused by Miss Greene s arrival we head for the wide open spaces of Wyoming As we look for thc Bar Cross Ranch home of the noted rancher Linda Branch wc discover Linda galloping up to the station on her famous horse Gold She extends a cordial invitation to us all to spend a summer with her Proceeding Ixorthmard we pull mto the ltttle town of Bluff Montana where the figure of Frankie oh what is her married name? surrounded by her brood awaits us She kisses the darlings goodbye and with a sigh of relief boards the tram In Flagstaff Arizona our next stop that celebrated geologist Cynthia Tourtellot brandishing a ptckaxe crawls out from under a pile of all types of rocks and clambers aboard From here we continue on our trip to New Orleans where we discover posters announcing the opening of o Mc Curdy s new musical revival Showboat which she croons her heart rendmg version of Cant Help Loving That Man of Mine Completely unspoiled by her popularity o pushes aside the crowd of swoomng admirers and boards the train just as we are about to ask for her autograph however we notice a figure in hip boots approaching the train Who is ltr She looks familiar Why it s none other than Kitty Ltppttt that extraordmary biolo gist carrying a bottle of DDT insecticide she is still searching for the lost adonata in the swamps of Louisiana Once again headmg northward we arrive nn Little Rock Arkansas where that renowned author janet Saklad boards the Lmcoln Unlimited She autographs a copy of her latest thriller True Stones of Fascznatzng and Fatal Operatzons Crossing running behind the train Conductor Howell signals to Engineer MacDougall to slow down but at this time a faint blur passes us and disappears toward the horizon At St Louis our next stop me discover that the faint blur was Olympic marathoner Dazzle Deyoe who missed the train in Hot Springs Arkansas She was talking to Nancy Blacher who has been recently nominated Carccr Ctrl of thc lear Continuing to the city of Des Moines Iowa me spot a creature with long flowing raycn black hair As she turns to climb the steps me see that xt is our poet Sally lValter ss ho has at last realized her life long ambition of haung long hair thanks to the develop ment of a new hatr growing tonic novs being marketed by Mimi Evans who has finally Y !
