THE ULASS 0F .IA UARY 1950 It was a warm day IH September when the future January class of 1950 fxrst met 1n one homeroom The class was small ln number havlng only mnety seven members but not lackmg ambltlon and ldeas It was consxstent electmg the same offxcers for all three semesters They were Roy Chene presldent Darrlel Alsobrooks v1ce presldent and Rose Marle Lovat secretary treasurer The sponsors were Mrs Faye Nelson and MISS Loulse Nowlm The flrst proyect of the class was the1r Splnster Hop named after a popular song of the day Buttons and Beaux Next came the Semor Play, The F1ght1ng Lxttles from a book wrltten by Booth Tarklngton It was a huge success under the able dlrectlon of Mrs Nelson Then came summer vacatlon, glvmg them a chance to prepare for the hectlc twenty weeks between September and the1r graduatlon ln January Wlth plctures, cards and announcements to order, bes1des the hlghest pomt of the year the1r Semor Prom they were really kept hoppmg The prom a dream ln whxte complete wlth snow evergreens and a slelgh, contmued the1r record of successes Thexr hlgh school days completed on January 25 1950 the class left some regretfully others not, to fulflll the1r motto, Go forth and return wlth honor fl- Nigv V '6 Nw K I NX I-D1 , U PAN - C3 QQ .
