PRINCIPAL GEORGE DRAKE The ability to look forward to future opportuni- ties rather than backward to past mistakes is the mark of a well-adjusted person. Most people have within themselves the resources for dealing with their own problems if they will but take the FORWARD LOOK. You will succeed in the future to the extent that you have developed high morale, the willing- ness to work and a sense of values basic to democratic action. To look forward to new goals and upward for strength greater than yourself, is the basis for being a successful and happy individual. SUPERINTENDENT GLEN GOODWILL Dr. Glen Goodwill has completed his first year as superintendent of the Santa Monica City Schools. Under his guidance we are looking forward to an extensive building and improvement program. We are grateful for his splendid cooperation in support- ing our share, allotted from Santa Monica's proposed 310,500,000 bond issue. Mr. Mitchell arranges textbooks and tourses for Lincoln. He directs the Lead :rship class and is very popular among

She sees that girls needs are fulfilled, advising them on both school and social matters. Mrs. Brown is well liked by everyone as she strives to uphold Lincoln's standards. This difficult position calls for patience and understanding. With these qualities Mr. Bloom has achieved success in his position. He is friendly and gives advice to all who need it. He is fair at all times and has gained the respect of many a boy at Lincoln. Mr. Bloom will let nothing interfere with his trying to solve a student's problem.
