Demo- cracy is a precious thing, and in school it is invaluable. Desirable training for carrying out Democracy's func- tions is provided here:The president elected in each home- room is a representative of that class'sinterests, and com- plaints. This semester's presidents were chosen from the A-8s and B-Qs of last year Know B-9s, A-9sl and there are 34 in all representing each homeroom. Mr. Mitchell is the Homeroom Coordinator. Officers are: Bill Howard, President: Lee Grosscup, boy's Vice-President: Caroline Miller, Secretary, and Iohn Carmack, Parliarnentarian. Some of the improvements and work carried on by Student Council have been a new plan for keeping the grounds clean, including the slogan contest, and a much-acclaimed improvement on the system dealing with lockers. , ru as l.lT'l:I. mfg, S y D R U y I CLINCOLN srvoem' 1 't 1 coumcmj
