. .Q + ZFX: 554, Prophecy Records taken from the gossip column in the Daily Times . The other night a '52 class reunion took place. The alumni of dear old Lincoln Ir. High got together and talked over the good old days. While saunter- ing through the crowd, I spotted some familiar men and women. I think most readers know the famous scientist Audrey Creagh tl will use the maiden names for the benefit of old Lincolnitesl who actually perfected a microscopic lens so powerful one can observe the cootie. Audrey confessed she believed her success stemmed from a science course at Lincoln. Also around were Bob Curry, famous electri- cal scientist, the started an Electrical Lighting Plant with Kickapoo Iuicel. Dennis Davies, the noted Algebra Teacher, Allen Carlson, heavyweight boxing champion, and Ezekiel Gonzales, famous track star, were listening to the amazing story of the ice skater, Bob McGuire. One rainy day he skidded on a wet walk and did a beautiful performance.fSo now he is a successful skaterjlohn Harrison, Bob Sparks and Tommy Mars- iglia are all well known in the pro-football fields. We always knew it would happen. Charles Bodes is a stunt driver. The girls have won distinction, too. Betty Werner and Sandra Henley are champion tennis players. Another prediction come true. lean LaGatta is chief editor of the Daily Times . Wendy Machamer is happily married to a multi-millionaire who, like Iames Norris, won Sl,UOU,UUO,UOU on a 25C raffle ticket. Marilyn Wood was the first to go to Yale and she got a degree, too. Lynne Westover finally got a poodle haircut. I spotted Caroline Miller talking to lean Bates and lackie Carson. Caroline, besides being a suc- cessful woman lawyer twhich success she owes to a pair of masters well known at Lincolnl, man- ufactures Typ Top Typewriters, the first hundred she donated to the typing room. Nearby were lohn Carmack who runs the Silky-Satin Wig Co. especially for people who tear their hair. Steven Allard and Bob Springer print and illustrate a Spanish book with hidden translations in code understood only by Spanish students. Clarita Babbitt, Harold Ein- stein, Iohn Griffiths, and Carol Wodehouse ,are Spanish teachers. They reminisced about their '52 class at Lincoln. Speaking of teachers reminds me W -Kd' 5. X Kxbix of the two noted dancing teachers, Eva Bedo and Fred fAstairel Vesper. The Samohi driving instructor is Carolyn Young- gren. In commercial fields are David Barton and Iudy Cunningham who own the Barton-Cunning- ham Swimming Inc. Their first customer was Lincoln Iunior High. Iust as it was for the Howard-Savarn Construction Co. that buildsschool gyms ffor boys, of coursel. The Foow fWoof spelled backwardsl Dog Food Company is headed by Iohn Hefferman. Willy I-lolquin is the president of Air Lane Airways. By the way, George Hughley supervises hole-making in the donut industry. Coralee Iudson owns the Gana-Gbra stocking Company fwith the elastic fiberl and is making millions. Karen Knepper, Icmice Harris and Leila Marindale manufacture Ready-made Pom- Poms from non smear, non fade crepe paper. Mary Nolan, Raquel Sisson and Carol Stroppel manufacture rnegaphones Creminiscent of their song- leading cheerleading days at Samohil with hidden tape recorders that play a recorded line of cheers. Glenda Harlan manufactures Softy Knee Pads for volleyball players tafter retiring from the champion- shipl. Connie Miller makes King-Size Lockers in memory of Pat Forney's old store-room. Nora Pear- son, founder of Chew Goo Gum, was chatting away with Ianie Zwicker, publisher of an Algebra Book in which Carol Crisler has an interesting chapter called Diophantus and I in memory of the Algebra Class. Aha! There's our Daily Times sports editor, Lee Grosscup, with his faithful assistant Don Cope and Sheila Boehm, who has raised a family of eight geniuses. Nancy Adams, the famous actress, and Allison Bennett, secretary at Yale, were talking to the co-owners of the Y.W.C.A. building-Ioyce Flink and Pat O'Brien. As I walked by I heard them speak of Ginger Priday, champion woman diver, who had made her spectacular leap into a Wheeler Inc. pool. Ken Kaufman, bus driver on the Palisades route, was with Richard Michel, a milkman. Dianne Iones and Don Green, both with hair styled by Bonnie Hanson, famous hair-stylist, were talking to Myrth Gruber who is head of Lincoln's cafeteria, a position she had often dreamed of while on her post there. Well, that about winds up records set by fa- mous Lincolnites. Interesting, wasn't it?
