Senior Leaders Promote Physical Fitness Radio Room Broadcasts to Classrooms Leading a girls' gym class is a responsibility of the Senior Leaders. They leam to accept and handle many of the problems and situations that a physical education teacher encounters. They help sponsor the Lcttcrmens' Dance and participate in outside sports, besides aiding the gym teachers by organizing the class and preparing the equipment for use. The past year the Radio Room consisted of a group of nine boys who contributed their free periods in order to broadcast programs and announcements for the benefit of the students. Occasionally they have entertained the students by accidentally piping through the popular music. The Radio Room Crew consists of: Dennis Corcno, Neil Fedio, Dcnzil Glover, Eddy Steele, Bob Herman, Bill Check, Mark Fedio, and John Hall. Advisor: Mr. Ed Yursky. 27

Lincolneites Participate in Countless Projects Projection Crew Learns Problems The I.incolnettes derive much pleasure from the services they render. A much needed unit, they help to keep our school functioning more efficiently by working for teachers, in the office, and wherever they can be of help. This year they have served as usherettes at plays, assemblies, and commencements. As they played hostesses at the annual Community Christmas Party the Lincolnettes brought laughter to the eyes of the children. The Projection Crew who operates the Noon Movies is responsible for the operation and minor maintenance of the 35mm Carbon-Arc projector and the high-intensity 16mm projector. Personnel inspect, and splice film, clean and oil the projector, and handle expensive lenses and equipment. One experienced operator and one trainee arc required for each lunch period. Members of the Projection Crew arc: Tim Balch, Tom Gliva, and Roman Karacs. 26

U The Future Nurses are: Orva Davis, Sherry Jolley, Donna Wanner, Jean Fisher, Diann Turner, and Mary Szczudlo. FT A and FNA Prepare Students for the Future in Teaching and Nursing Careers Working in close association with the school nurse, Mrs. Marie Newton, the Future Nurses Club learns the practical applications of nursing. By working in the Dispensary and volunteering their time in local hospitals, they learn of the future responsibilities and rewards first hand. Pursuing their interest in teaching are the Future Teachers of America. They view movies and discuss teaching careers with guest speakers so that they may become better acquainted with this occupation. The climax of the year comes with the traditional F.T.A. Day, when they actually assume the teaching responsibilities in the classrooms. The Future Teachers are: 1st ROW, Maria Polichuk, Darrel Felon, Alex Derkaschenko, James Hru-chak, Carole Zander, 2nd, Charlene Turcnnc, Donna Gibbons, Irene Belcic, Ruth Mary Oliver, Julita Vera, Oksana Stryhun, 3rd, Lydia Kosmaschka, Lois Lazor, Joan Ziemba, Cathy Gold, Sandy Stevens, Lydia Lazar, and Debbie Jicha. 28
