School Publications DISCUSSING THE MERITS of past Log issues are editorial staff members: Greg Stricharchuk, Mr. Norman Merhaut, Laura Slenczka, Sharon Smith, and Priscilla Bodi. R-r-rr . . . the roar of the presses and the smell of ink is a reporter's Utopia, and the Lincoln reporter is no different. He is a dedicated news-seeker, gifted with a unique percep liveness and wit. Besides being a member of the Log staff, each reporter is also part of the 7th period journalism class. Heading the class were Editors-in-chief Laura Slenczka and Wally Rowinsky. Working under them were Page-One Editor Greg Stricharchuk, Page-Two Editor Phil Carroll, Page-Three Editor Kathy Ko-talik, Sports Editor Jim Wright, and Copy Editor Priscilla Bodi. The Log's support of Levy Issues 13 and 14, promoting additional school funds, was this year's most impressive accomplishment. Over 10,000 copies of the six-page Log were printed and distributed to interested community members. MARY BIZYK AND SHARON JACKSON get a few pointers on page layout from page editor Phil Carroll. KEEPING FIT AND HAVING FUN arc laughing Lincolnites. Leaders Stress Sportsmanship For the brave and talented girls who make it through the rugged initiation and examination, a year of iun and work is awaiting. The gym leaders sacrifice study-hall time to assist the gym teachers in leading their classes. They must know the fundamentals of many sports, and can participate in after-school sports, such as bowling, basketball or volleyball. All these activities add up in points for the girls who, at the end of the year, receive awards for their efforts. Officers for the club this year included: President Linda Tymoc, Vice-President Edie Walker, Secretary Chris Moutcsous, and Treasurer Donna Brlctich.
