LHS Students Express Interest in World Affairs COUNCIL ON HUMAN RELATIONS Striving to build a bridge of understanding, the Council on Human Relations devoted its energies to furthering the cause of individual expression. Under the guidance of Mr. Nicholas Sabadosh, the group participated in intra-school visitation programs and home exchange visits. Officers for a rewarding year included President Donna Voss, Vice-President Toni Boroday, Secretary' Sue Dobranski, and Treasurer Nina Brigadin. JUNIOR COUNCIL ON WORLD AFFAIRS A hard and objective look at pressing world problems was taken by the conscientious Junior Council on the World Affairs this year. Under the direction of Mi Paul Balser, the J.C.W.A. group talked and argued its way into the fall session of the Communist Congress and the annual spring meeting of the Mock U.N. At the helm of the J.C.W.A. aggregation was President James Hruschak, assisted by Vice-President Margie Hoyer, Secretary Carol Zander, and Treasurer Tania Samaylicz. Tom Hawrylak pursues his interest in science. A friendly smile and a sincere interest in others charactericized the Future Nurses Club. Under the guidance of the school nurse, Mrs. Newton, the girls gave assistance in the dispensary, did volunteer work in area hospitals, and sponsored field trips to neighboring clinics. DEDICATED THESPIANS hard at work are Judy Harasyn, John Tijanich, and Trish Begeny. Drama Club Drive, diligence, and determination were the criteria for this year's Drama Club. It began its 'bb-'bl season under the leadership of Laura Slenczka, president; John Tijanich, vice-president; V ilda Varney, secretary; Judy Harasyn, assistant secretary; Lydia Lazar, treasurer; and Kathy Coon, assistant treasurer. Faculty advisor was Miss Audrey Zak. The production of its own play on the Lincoln stage was the Drama Club's spring endeavor. Club members also viewed first-run motion pictures and even organized their own basketball team. In addition, many of the junior actors were involved in productions at the Play House.
