Especially, we want to recognize and to thank the high school faculty for the dedication and professionalism expressed by each of you during your preliminary North Carolina Accredita- tion Study. We thank the hoard, the employees and students for your help in this study. Our hope is that the Lincoln School will be accepted as a member of the North Central Asso- ciation of Secondary Schools and Colleges. VI e believe that Mrs. Bright's contribution to the education of Lincoln students is deserving of recognition. Mrs. Bright is a native of Hannibal Missouri where she attended Junior High and High School and was a cheerleader for six years. Mrs. Bright attended the University of Missouri in Columbia. Missouri and the Univer- sity of Arkansas in Fayetteville, Ark. Mrs. Bright is a science teacher at Lincoln High School and is currently living in fay- etleville. He played both fullback ami linebacker positions on the Junior H foot! all team. Marly played guard in baskel! all during bis freshman year and was on a relay team in track. He played catcher in little lea| baseball and he won a trophy playing foo .et all. Marty also participated in KFA and the yearly FFA rodeos. He was a member of FCA, was a fire marshal, and has been on the dent council. Marty loved the outdoors and enjoyed fishing, hunting; and camping out with his friends. Swimming and tennis were also am his favorite activities. Many of us knew Marty as a friend and most of us knew him as a classmate, hut we all appreciated his qualities of shaking opinion and talking to strangers as if he had always known them. Marty was an active | crson and was always doing someth Marty's favorite teachers at I.HS were Mr. Bottoms and Mr. Nation w hom he loved to tease, hut there was a serious side to M that many people never knew. Mrs. Bottoms is the wife of Carl Bottoms, teacher of CIVICS in High School. Mrs. Bottoms was born in Tahlequah. Oklahoma. She graduated from Stillwell High School, May 8, 1964 and from Northern State University in Tahlequah. Sis- has a B. S. degree in Elementary Education and a minor in English.
