She must meet requirements such as being an outstanding student scholasti- cally and excel in school spirit. Also she must be neat, attractive and have a charming personality. Such a girl is Sharon Maloney. In addition to these qualities, Sharon is active in outside activities such as her church, and the Rainbow Organization. Sharon makes all her own clothes and has won numerous trips due to her work in 4-H. She hopes to teach Home Economics on the high school level someday. Congratulations, Sharon Maloney. We salute you! ANNUAL STAFF N l l. QUEEN MISS SHARON M ALONEV THAT’S SH ARON .Srd FROM THE LEFT!!!!! SHARON (far right) and FRIENDS” Homecoming — 1968 The classes worked their hardest. The girls looked their prettiest. The floats were the best ever, and the day was unbelievably beautiful. So went homecoming this year of 1968. The senior class won for their queen by a substantial margin while the juniors narrowly edged out the eighth grade for second place. Miss Vickie Spinks reigned over the festivities which included the parade, the game (we won), and a dance spon- sored by the Sr.-Jr. Classes at the Legion hut after the game. Vickie wore a light blue formal for the parade and a white floor-length gown with ruffles on the skirt at the coronation. She was presented a bouquet of roses at the the game and was crowned and kissed by co-captains Lonnie Myers and Micky Kldrige. We of the annual staff feel that Vickie made a lovely and gracious queen, and and we also feel that through hard work, this was the most exciting and successful homecoming in the history of L.H.S. Although the major part of the season was disappoint- ing, the team came through with two very important wins. The Wolves edged by Fannington on Home- coming by the close score of 7—6 and ruined Flkins homecoming by winning 15—7.
