Building and Grounds Comm.-Chairman, Gene Bolin , , . . D- Paradie Student Council , Since its formation in 1945, Student Council has grown and developed into a sound, strong student organization. In a large high school such as Lincoln, the spirit, initiative and support of the student body reflects the leadership of a capable student government. Under the leadership of John Coart, Student Council President, Student Council had a very successful year. The challenge of start- ing a new fifty years in Lincoln's history gave added ambition and zest to their purpose. Student Council gave Dulinex its full cooperation. With the undertaking of the new foreign-exchange pro- gram with Germany, Student Council immediately set to work promoting the program and gaining the interest and support of the entire student body. Also among the important projects this year was the promotion of Citizenship Board, which was formed last year to encourage better citizenship around school. Student Council is a vital part of the school. It offers qualified students a chance to learn good leadership, and it shows everyone the importance of an effective organization. Point Committee .
