Student Council A sound student government is easily detected in a large high school such as Lincoln. It is seen in the spirit of co-operation with which students follow regulations. The students become Willing and eager to take over authority when they know they are backed by a helpful faculty. Lincoln has both the faculty and the student government to assure success. The Student Council is composed of representa- tives from all the major organizations of the school, and from each of the classes, thus assuring a fair discussion and vote on any vital matter that may arise. The biggest project of the Council for the year was the planning of the Racial Relations Institute. They also set up an advisory council, presented an assembly, and sponsored five Student Council committees. .2 W Wife: ki? iw PUBLICITY-Anne Marie Juntenun, Chairman m. .--f - ASSEMBLY SEATING-Bonnie Noe, Chairman , am xg 3 gi, ...WM f . , ',.ll,,,.., M BLDG. The purpose of the Safety Council is to promote safety with a positive approach, to better attitudes, and to promote safety of adults and youngsters as well as teen- agers. With the idea of teen-age safety in mind, the members of the Safety Council actively participated in the King County Teen-Age Safety Conference on February 21, and promoted Safeteen Week during March 5-9. This group has undertaken a never ending problem and it is hoped the Council is here to stay. Mr. Knoll, faculty advisor, has contributed his support to the Safety Council and its plans. - 5 A 6' at . 4 ., , F- . ' 1 A A.'
