ADMINISTRATIGN To the Class of 1983: Living with and caring for you and your education for the past three years has been my distinct priviledge, pleasure and sacred duty. You may never again find a life support system such as you have had at Lincoln High School. You are about to embark on life's journey as an adult with the responsibility to make a difference in the lives of others while seeking self-fulfillment of the dreams you hold most dear. Lincoln High School graduates in 1983 have special responsibilities. These are to prepare yourselves to assume the leadership in the world communityg to participate fully as citizens of the community which bred you, and to uphold the rich heritage that is Lincoln. Since 1939, the graduates of your school have left and entered the world of work and services to the community in various ways that do us so proud . lt now becomes your task to hold that torch of work and service so high that those who come after you see its light and follow you to even greater heights. Life will reward you only in proportion to what you are willing to invest. If you give all that you can, it will be returned to you threefold. The joy that you send into the lives of others comes back into your own. Each of us has some gift. We shall receive pleasure and comfort only to the extent in which we use our gift to bring pleasure and help to others. You have just achieved a milestone. lt is time now to set your sights on new goals which will take you farther than you ever dreamed.
