Q ' in ' f 1 We, the Rodis Staff of 1958, proudly dedicate this book to Miss Marie Pre- sutti and Mr. Dale Morford. Miss Presuttils lofty ideals are deeply implanted into the lives of her former students as well as those of today. Her unfailing patience has enabled us to appreciate and understand English better. I2 TIO In appreciation of his helpfulness, cheerfulness, and friendly interest, Mr. Morford will long be remembered by the students of Lincoln High School. We want both, Miss Presutti and Mr. Morford, to know that they have our respect, admiration, and sincere gratitude. He alternates between unpredictable violence and extreme withdrawal. He never smiles, never laughs and seems to be engaged in a perpetual fight against the world. His parents, both factory workers, have been completely inadequate in overcoming their environment and in guiding their boys as they grow up. ln a way, they were relieved when Dino was in the reform school, because it took fate out of their hands. Now that he has come home, they are continually reminded of their failings. Mr. Mandel, Dino's parole officer, feels that if anyone can help Dino it's Mr. Sheri- dan, the case worker at the Settlement House. Mr. Sheridan seems reluctant at first, but is soon convinced that Dino is a boy who, with love and understanding, could learn to respect not only himself but others as well. Throughout the play, we find Dino fighting temptation, fighting for respect, and yes, even falling in love with Shirley, a shy, sensitive girl who does much to get Dino on the fight Path' ORGAN CLASS First row, lefl lo riglais C. From the first game of the season to the last, this was a year to be remembered. Al- though they were hampered by injury and illness, the 1957 Leopards displayed a fighting spirit and a will to win. They lived up to the hopes of their most avid followers by stopping many of their op- ponents short of the goal. Under the cap- able coaching of john Petchel and his staff, the year ended with a record of 4 wins, 3 losses, and 2 ties. Congratulations! 19 5 7 SCHEDULE Beaver Falls , ,ssr.
