V HUTOGRF-WHS K ' SY' Dedication We, the Senior Class of 1956, proudly dedi- cate our yearbook to Mr. Francis O. Lamber- son. Mr. Lamberson's hard work and wonder- ful personality have made him one of the truly great teachers of Midland High School. He has been teaching in our school for nearly twenty-five years. h Mr. Lamberson was born in Climer, Penn- sylvania. After graduating from high school, he attended Indiana State Teachers College, where he earned three letters for participating in sports. He also attended the University of Pittsburgh, Columbia University, and Duke University. He has received his Bachelor of Science degree and his Master of Arts. Mr. Lamberson has been in charge of the Golf Club for the past nine years. In some small way, we would like to ex- press our recognition which he so justly de- serves, therefore we dedicate this yearbook to Mr. Francis O. Lamberson with our deepest and sincerest gratitude for the years of 'service given Lincoln High School. -ss-uk .. - rn., 6 CZ 77?MJ., ' -,P 41 I Q sr A .Q.. Mr. Stowitzky has been very cooperative in helping our seniors choose the right school for furthering their education. He has also been helpful in assisting the underclassmen in selecting their courses. Mr. Stowitzky is also the sponsor of the Student Council, and under his sure guidance they have ac- complished much. Mrs Glumac- Mrs. lVIargaret Glumac is our very efficient school nurse. She can usually be found in the nurse's office fixing someone's ailments. Her pretty face makes the pain much easier to bear. Every day she makes her rounds to each school to see that all of the students are well. Without her our school would not be able to run quite so smoothly. Mr Thorne- lVIr. Howard Thorne is our Audio-Visual Aid Di- rector. Without him and his crew our school would not have the opportunity of seeing movies and slides, hear- ing recordings, and making tape recordings. He is also the track Coach and can always be identi- fied at the meets by his crazy hats. CULTY . MON. TUE5. WEIDHDQ THUR . The Patrols are divided into two groups, which alternate each semester. They are posted out- side of almost every room in the school to keep the traffic going the right way and to assist new students in finding their rooms. We are indeed grateful to our efficient Patrols, for without them the school would he a constant jumble and confusion. THE NUTT FAMILY This was a fastfmoving farce that took place at Crestdale, a large summer home near an eastern mountain resort. Crestdale was formerly used as a sanitarium for people who suffered nervous ailments. The owner of Crestdale decided to sell it and she let the Nutt family try it out for a short time. No sooner than the Nutts are settled, some of Dr. Seels, the former owner, patients arrive and soon the battle of wits begins. Larry Smart falls in love with Ima Nutt. He man- ages to get himself in loads of trouble and in order to stay near the one he loves, he pretends to he a nut. Engaged to a girl he has never seen and trying to escape her, he is confronted with a girl who Claims to be his wife. and has fallen in love with a girl whom he has reason to believe is a patient at a sanitarium. JOOKiT1?l dlfulcw. x,pv hr-v v NI JANUARY N 4,2 Mr. Hamilton and Mr. Fielding put out another good team with only two lettermen from last year. The Mid- land Leopards came through With one of their finest seasons. They were led by seven seniorsfBob Zak, Jim Cerasi, Ivan Toncic, Tom Lepsic, George Yute, Linn Hough, and Jerry Murawski. There were three juniors and seven sophomores on the team also. The first string consisted of Bob Zak, Jim Cerasi, Ivan Toncic, Torn Lepsic, and Richard Quiring. Bob Zak and Jim Cerasi were selected as Co-captains for the season. The success of the team was due to the fact that Mr. Hamilton and Mr. Fielding made de- fensive ball players out of the first six. A good distribu- tion of scoring was also a big factor in determining our wins. Every one of the first five was offensive and a threat to their opponents. ik! ee-.,, Coaches and Managers Sitting: fLeft to Righth T. Stillwagon, Mi Fielding, Mr. Hamilton, V. Novak.
