This year besides having added to the dep-artment a Junior High class of about 20 students, our Senior High enrollment increased 38 per cent over last year, making a total of 114 students taking typing. We have had a very successful year in regular class work and in our contests. Our Typing Teams, won the first place pennant in the Alpine Division contests and made a fairly good showing in the State Meet. The State teams were Novice Class: Nedra Watkins, Maurine Love- less, and Lucille Farley. Second Years: Carol Partridge, Ellen Fielding, and Rudolph Reese. Amateur: Carl Fielding. Those taking part on the District Teams were Novice: Nedra Wat- kins, Lucile Farley, Maurine Loveless, Emma Burgener, Esther Huff, Emily Thomas, Lucile Skinner, and Norma Lewis. Second Years: Carol Partridge, Ellen Fielding, Rudolph Reese, Catherine Salisbury, Kenneth Lunceford, Ada Jorgensen and Reva Cordner. 2 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 490 0 00 00 00 0 0 0.0 to 3 .Oo 0 3 365 0 06 0.0 O 0 332 Q 203 0,0 303 0 0 0 0 33 0 0 06 Q 0 f 0 tO 0 0 2 Ofc '0 0 .0 Q0 0 0 490 00 Q0 00 00 Q 0, 0 490 . . 0. 0 '0 00 00 Q0 00 00 00 'Q 0 4. There is a correlation between superior type and correspondingly sup- erior production. It is the job of the stock judger to determine by com- parison and careful examination the superior points of each animal in the ring and finally to calculate the points and place each animalin its pro- per rank. Our stock judging team this ,year consists. of Dean Nuttall, Harold Maag, and Sheldon Hirst. Mr. Davies was coach. We participated in the judging of the Utah County Fair, Utah State Fair, Ogden Stock Show, and Spanish Fork Stock Show. We were success- ful in placing well up toward the top in all shows, but were not able this year to capture any prizes. But we value the experience and training very much. Each team is allowed but one year's judging, so that a new team will be selected for next school year.
